Description:

One of the biggest challenges early career educators face has to do with self-efficacy and a sense of isolation. Our Noyce community includes both mathematics and science preservice and inservice teachers who face these same challenges. This video explains the structures we use for near-peer mentoring experiences, and the scholars and teachers share the effects of this approach on their teaching practice. We have also found that this approach positively shapes new teacher persistence and cross-disciplinary connections.
