Financial Literacy
One of my favorite math projects is incorporating financial literacy into lessons/units, even if it is only as enrichment because it made just a big difference for me when I was in school.

How Wonderful
I love this site and the potential for someone like me. I am new(er) to my role. I formerly taught 1st and 2nd grade and I am not in charge of Math for our entire district (K-12). Obviously secondary math is foreign to me. I am open for any and all advice that you can provide, resources, activities, etc. Looking forward to the discussions!

Engaging Students
I would spend some time learning about current and future technologies (Physics of the Future is an excellent book for this) and using these ideas as a way to connect and build on the curriculum. Students like to hear about things that exist, but even more about what is coming and how math could affect this...
