High School Physics Teachers
Come together for thought provoking discussion & swapping of apps, pedagogy, & frameworks to better engage students in their learning of physics!
On March 23rd, 2021, over twenty-plus educators came together for thought provoking discussion and swapping of apps, pedagogy, and frameworks to better engage students in their learning of physics. Finding many commonalities, it was poignant and relevant to hear how educators wove in different practices and tech solutions to increase student talk and facilitate distance learning. PhET, Pivot, Teacher Desmos, GoFormative, and EdPuzzle were discussed with examples of how they opened up possibilities in the classroom. Resources for Modern Physics and the Patterns Approach were also circled backed to a few times. Nearly everyone had a contribution to make and laid a great foundation for these sessions to be truly collaborative and community focused. This Meet Up preceded the launch of this online discussion group where these topics and more will be further explored. Consider joining us.
