Christine Girtain loves to learn and inspire others to love learning. She has been a Secondary Science Educator in Toms River, NJ for 26 years teaching Biology, Earth Science and Authentic Science Research. Christine is a Rutgers Waksman Scholar with several sequences published by students on NCBI on the EST and Nucleotide databases. She is interested in DNA Barcoding, Bioinformatics, Global STEM partnerships, and Wolbachia research. She will be directing TR Biotech Summer Workshops for students in her area. Christine works hard to secure grants to fund STEM learning. She is proud to be a Rotarian and loves doing ancestry research.
