As an elementary school STEAM teacher, I feel fortunate to do what I enjoy most. I recently completed the NASA STEM Endeavor Certificate program in addition to completing my Masters in Curriculum Instruction from Adam State University. As the science curriculum coordinator for my school, I am working on developing a new schoolwide STEM curriculum to help the school transition toward a STEM-focused science program that is NGSS aligned. One of my main interests is teaching computational thinking to younger aged students through coding and robotics programs. I am interested in networking with other elementary school STEM teachers to exchange ideas and new resources. I recently created two Blogs that are designed to provide STEM learning for elementary-aged students who are learning from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
