Applied and educational STEAM practitioner for 26+ years; university down through elementary level. Began studying hydrology, geomorphology and global biogeochemical cycles at McGill and then at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). This opened teaching opportunities at UNH in environmental science in both introductory and seminar level classes. A couple years, kids and a new state later, I began teaching, first in high, then public middle and elementary school, always science as well as social studies and math. Art and design integration were purposefully infused into my classrooms a decade ago with the advent of STEAM instruction and learning. I have been a pioneer, proponent and advocate ever since.
