Judy Dunmire is passionate about promoting access, equity, identity, and agency in mathematics in Arkansas. 

She serves Arkansas as the current President for the Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM), Delegate for the Arkansas Association of Mathematics Leaders (AAML), was a member of the AR Math QuEST development team, is on the Arkansas Playbook Guiding Coalition, is a National Board Candidate support facilitator, is the Vice President for the Arkansas Teachers for National Board Certification (ATNBC), and founded the Arkansas Mathematics Leaders Network, which is now affiliated with AAML.

She represents Arkansas with several organizations and committees. She represents the National Council for Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) on an EdReports mathematics advisory panel, is an UnboundEd Facilitator, is an Illustrative Mathematics Certified Facilitator, and was a reviewer for the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) book Catalyzing Change in High School Mathematics.

Judy has served in education for 20 years as a teacher at Charleston Public Schools; mathematics specialist (UAFS, Guy Fenter ESC, ATU); Adjunct Professor (SAU); and currently serves Camden Fairview as the District Mathematics Specialist. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree (Secondary Education, Mathematics) at Arkansas Tech University, her Master’s Degree (Secondary Education, Mathematics, with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction) at the University of Arkansas, National Board Certified, and is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Educational Leadership through Harding University.
