I am Jermaine R. Howell, a global educator who stands by the two philosophies - We are the gatekeepers for the future generation & Children are not things to be molded, but people to be unfolded - Jess Lair. I completed my undergrad degree at the International University of the Caribbean in Primary Education and a graduate degree at North Carolina State University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Developmental Supervision. I am currently an elementary Math and Science Teacher for Wake County Public Schools. I am a big proponent for Culturally Responsive Teaching Across Content Areas! I have a passion for teaching who enjoys teaching students of different races and ethnicities! I hold the view that ALL students must be provided with instructions that are rich, rigorous, content-specific, and culturally relevant. I recently partnered with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction with the writing, editing, and reviewing of the new NC Computer Science curriculum. Also, I enjoy working with beginning teachers by providing the needed support and development in order for them to be successful during the teaching and learning process.
