This year (2019) marks my 25th year of teaching. I have worked with many grade levels! Twelve years ago, I helped start an in-district STEM Academy charter school. Three years ago, I moved to my current district and became the 5-8 STEM educator in their new middle school. I am writing the curriculum as I teach. My other role is as a district science coach. I have presented at conferences, worked with schools/classroom teachers to integrate STEM/engineering, and have a passion for aviation. I have helped provide aviation experiences for many children, and flown over 300 of them through EAA's Young Eagles Program. My Math Leadership Certificate helps me provide experiences in STEM for real-world application, and I work with math teachers in my building who want to put more STEM instruction within their instruction. Each year I teach, the more I learn....but isn't that how it goes as you get older? The more you know, the more you realize you don't know?
