Nancy Foote, MEd, is currently the Conceptual Physics teacher at Sossaman Middle School in the Higley Unified School District in Gilbert AZ. She worked as an Industrial Chemist for the Sherwin Williams Company before obtaining her Master's degree and teacher certification. Nancy has been in education for more than 30 years as a teacher, principal, staff development coordinator, teacher on special assignment. and curriculum coach. A National Board Certified Teacher, Nancy is also recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. She was named Most Valuable Teacher of the Year in 2017 by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and is the only teacher to receive the Educator of the Year award from both the Town of Gilbert Chamber of Commerce (2015) and the Queen Creek Chamber of commerce (2016). Nancy participated in the NSF-funded Prime the Pipeline Project: Putting Knowledge to Work, and was lead science teacher in the Helios Foundation project, STEM in the Middle.
