
My name is Robyn Yewell and I teach at Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona. I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and three Masters Degrees, Elementary Education, Bilingual/Multicultural Education, and a Master of Arts in Science Teaching. I earned an Elementary Certification, K-8 and a Specialized STEM Certification, 6-12 with Middle Grades/Early Secondary Mathematics approved areas. In addition, I also earned Prek-12 Gifted, K-8 Mathematics Specialist, 5-9 Middle Grades, and English Language Arts endorsements.
In 2017 I earned the title of the Arizona Elementary Science Teacher of the Year through the Arizona Science Teachers Association and currently serve as treasurer for this organization. I previously served as a Teacher Forum Member of 100kin10, an Ambassador for Economic Education through the University of Arizona, Eller School of Business, and as a StemAZing Teacher Mentor through the Pima County Superintendent's Office. In 2020 I earned a Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, K-6 Science. I was a finalist for the Raytheon Teachers of Excellence in Tucson, Arizona and was inducted into the Northern Arizona University College of Education Hall of Fame in 2022. I was also a semifinalist for the Arizona Teacher of the Year through the Arizona Education Foundation in 2023.
I feel passionate that all students deserve a high quality STEM education and love teaching and learning about STEM.
