Tyler Waters embraces the rigor of creating quality Project-Based Learning instruction for his Juniors and Seniors at STEAM Academy.
Tyler started his professional teaching career printing worksheets, struggling with classroom management, and lost interest in teaching until he succumbed to the research he studied as a graduate student at the University of Kentucky. There he learned the pedagogy and methods of creating a quality curriculum, yet never attempted implementation. In 2015, Tyler started teaching at a different school that focused on PBL and supported teacher curated instruction. After many iterations, with failures along the way, Tyler has started to pioneer the way for PBL in Math that crosses disciplines.
