2021 Educating for Environmental Change Summer Science Institute
Join us online this summer for our FREE, PAID immersive, award-winning science institutes focused on climate change and its impact on local communities. Accepting folks from across the United States!
What will I learn?
Indiana University Earth and Atmospheric Science, O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and School of Education faculty members as well as staff from WonderLab Museum and local veteran science teachers will lead in-depth science lessons and teach classroom-ready, hands-on activities that help answer the following questions: How do we know the climate is changing? What are the impacts of these changes? And what can we do about it? Each lesson is aligned to Indiana state and Next Generation Science Standards.
What is included?
All participants will receive classroom resources and materials and a daily stipend.
Dates and times:
Middle/High School Educators:
June 14 – 16, 2021
Elementary School Educators (Grades 4-6):
June 21 – 23, 2021
Both institutes will run online from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, with breaks throughout the day.
