Knowles Teaching Fellows Program
The Knowles Teacher Initiative is accepting applications for their 2020 Cohort of Teaching Fellows. The Knowles Teaching Fellows Program is a five-year program that supports early-career, high school mathematics and science teachers in their efforts to develop teaching expertise and lead from the classroom. Applications for 2020 Knowles Fellowships are due by 11:59 p.m. PST on December 1, 2019.
The Knowles Teaching Fellowship supports new high school math and science teachers with strong content preparation in physics, chemistry, biology, or mathematics in their efforts to develop the characteristics of a good teacher and lead from the classroom. Valued at approximately $150,000, Knowles Teaching Fellows have access to a wide range of benefits, including:
- grants for professional development, classroom materials and National Board Certification;
- mentoring from veteran teachers and teacher educators;
- support for teacher led initiatives; and
- membership in a nationwide community of more than 400 science and math educators.
