Instructional Materials Designed for A Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards

Special Issue of the Journal of Science Teacher Education

This special issue contributes to developing and implementing high-quality instructional materials as a form of scholarship; connecting curriculum to classroom instruction for student diversity and equity and teacher professional learning; and relating instructional materials to research, policy, and practice broadly around the Framework and the NGSS. In addition to continued efforts to develop instructional materials, the knowledge base from this special issue offers suggestions for classroom implementation, assessment, professional development, and impact on teacher professional learning and student learning outcomes.
